filmnerdthoughts:

Marion Cotillard singing “My Husband Makes Movies” from Rob Marshall’s musical Nine.

I love the way Marshall visually makes his films look as if you’re still watching the musical on stage. The lighting is beautifully done in this scene and creates a dark, sad atmosphere for the song, symbolising Luisa’s life in her husbands shadow. The blue tint is lovely too and Cotillard adds so much elegance to the number.

I didn’t really care for this movie overall, but the cinematography was stunning. And I really do adore Marion Cotillard.
